Your help is reaching the victims of the disaster in Nepal!
Thanks to the incredibly swift response from our partner organisation CHAY YA (see link) in Nepal, the first humanitarian aid has already reached the Nuwakot area. The roads were partially buried, and the CHAY YA rescue team faced significant obstacles whilst transporting supplies in their lorries. Essential supplies were distributed at two relief centres, and assistance was provided in the construction of temporary shelters…
ProNepal has today delivered part of the donations we have received over the last few days to Chay Ya.
Our partners in Nepal, the organisation SEO, have also already taken action. Mrs Jaya has informed us that SEO has sent four volunteers and two lorry drivers carrying humanitarian aid to Bidur. Road conditions are very poor and heavy rain is making the journey difficult. The volunteers are delivering essential supplies such as rice, lentils, beans, broken rice and spices, enough to feed 30 families for 15 days. They are also providing sleeping essentials such as mattresses, pillows and blankets, as well as tarpaulins, to meet people’s immediate needs and offer them temporary shelter and accommodation.
ProNepal will support SEO as soon as it receives a request to do so.
